ROVER METRO

Just arrived with us here at RFH Classics we have this lovely 1994 (L) Rover Metro 1.1 Casino Royale 5 Dr Special Edition finished in Caribbean Blue Metallic with Grey Cloth Trim. What a lovely little Jem this is with a recorded mileage of just over 37,000 miles which looking around the car and the paperwork we would suggest in genuine. We collected the car and had the benefit of doing a 50 mile drive back to the showroom and I have to say it drove faultlessly and certainly turned a few head. The car was supplied new through a North London Rover dealer who then went on to sell it to the 2nd owner in 1996, the 2nd owner, a doctor, purchased the car with 14,603 miles on the clock and he used it occasionally until he sadly passed away where the car passed to his wife, the third and last owner. We are lead to believe the car has always been garaged well and maintained despite the low mileage. On the drive home the car sat well at 65mph on the motorway and everything we tried worked as it should.

The Casino Royal was a Special Edition produced in 1994 and from what we can see there at the end of 2022 there were just 4 cars registered on the UK roads making a very rare model. It is a nicely spec’d for a car of its age with a 5 speed gearbox, AM/FM Original working Radio, Glass Sunroof and Casino Royale decals. The seal around the sunroof is lifting slightly but still appears to be water tight. We have in the office history file and 2 sets of keys for the car along with a Owners Book pack with Instruction manual and partially completed service book, the last record being at 34,033 miles. We spoke to the dealer who is still in London and sadly the Rover Service History system is no longer available but the car is well known with them as they lived on a couple of hundred yards away from the garage.
