MGB GT

I tend to keep my cars for a while. Back in 2008 I replaced my 16 year old Volvo with a SAAB which served me well until last September when I decided it was time for a change. I’d had an MGB GT in my youth and often regretted letting it go. So ….. the search was on for another one. A quick internet search came up with several dealers within striking distance and it soon became apparent that RFH Classics was the place to go. The website is very easy to navigate, it’s kept up to date and contains detailed information about the current stock. After checking out several other showrooms slightly closer to home, when I eventually contacted Richard I was immediately impressed. He was highly professional but also friendly and very personable. I missed out on a car I’d had my eye on because it was sold a few days before my appointment to view it but Richard promised to keep me informed if anything matching my criteria came in. Bingo! A few weeks later he contacted me and sent a video of a car he’d just purchased, asking if it might be one for me to consider. It looked fantastic but I had to wait until RFH Classics had carried out their detailed processes and procedures before viewing it. This is, I believe, a big plus. RFH Classics are very thorough and meticulous and it’s clear that they won’t sell anything unless they’re confident that the buyer will be happy. There’s no pushiness or pressure, just honesty and a desire to provide an excellent service. I should say also that the showroom and office, which are beautifully clean and tidy, exude an air of professionalism and trustworthiness too. I’ve had my new car for four weeks now and I’m absolutely delighted - nay, over the moon! - with it. I can’t recommend RFH Classics highly enough and though I doubt I’ll want to change my car again, if I do I already know where I’ll be buying it from. Thank you Richard and colleagues. Absolutely the right place to buy your classic car from, Richard is honest, helpful, not pushy and makes the purchase enjoyable and easy. I was not quite ready to buy as waiting for house move to remove the funds, the right car came up, exact model & spec I used to own 25 years ago, always promised myself when I hit 60 to achieve this, 1968 MGB GT In Damask Red. Richard was great, very trusting & patient, house went through, now mine. I now subscribe to his stocklist as I love classic cars.

Great place to go if you are starting out on a classic car adventure, as I was. No hard sell; just old fashioned levels of customer service, courtesy, and honesty. When I'd finished I felt as much like I had made a friend as bought a car. As for the car itself I couldn't be more pleased. One minor and unforeseeable fault was immediately put right by Richard even though he didn't have to. Great place to buy a car from. I bought a Mercedes C250 from Richard 2 and a half years ago. It's been a great car and the buying and trading my old one is was a breeze. Nice fella great little location, as I'm looking to buy another I'm just gutted he hasn't got what i'm after. Not often I say it but I'd 100% recommend and buy from again.

Black MG Midget

I purchased my first classic car from Richard at RFH Classics. Having read and looked on the internet my wife and I decided to buy a MG Midget. The car was personally delivered by Richard at a small cost, on time as agreed. Richard forgot to bring the service documents, receipts etc however they were sent recorded delivery straight away. The car came with a 3 months warranty. I took the car to a friends garage so he could look over it in case any work was needed and my friend said it was a good honest car. Since owning the car I’ve carried out some improvements all part of the hobby. I’m sure when we decide to upgrade our classic Richard will be the first person we call. Peugeot 304 Convertible

Richard and team were nothing but fantastic throughout. Professional, patient (with someone who doesn't know much about cars) and always there to chat any of my concerns through. The car (1973 Peugeot 304 cabrio) is super. RJH ensures everything is checked over, serviced and MOT'd, so no fears of hidden problems. I was a buyer during and post lockdown, but that didn't stop RJH from being superb. Five stars all the way.

MG Midget 65

Nothing but praise for Richard and his team at RJH. He obviously has a real passion for what he does and is very knowledgeable. There was a very minor problem with cars battery when it was being delivered. Given the age of the car, you have to expect a few minor niggles. Richard Immediately took to car back, had a new battery fitted and then have it redelivery the same day. All the time he kept me informed as to what was happening and made sure I was happy with the actions he was undertaking. Great customer service. MG Midget

I part exchanged a classic vehicle for an MG. Due to the current COVID issues this was completed remotely via video and phone. The MG was delivered to my house under strict COVID safety measures. I dealt with Richard throughout this transaction. I have owned a lot of cars over the years and have dealt with many car dealers. Richard and RJH Cars rate as one of the best. Richard was professional in his dealing with me, and went out of his way to make sure I as completely satisfied with the car and service I received. After the car was delivered I had a small issue with the points packing up. Richard offered to travel back down to collect the car and put this right. (3hrs travelling each way). I chose to have the issue fixed at a local garage and Richard paid for the work. Amazing service. The car is fantastic and I would buy another from RJH tomorrow if I could. My MG was not the most expensive car that RJH had for sale, but it could have been, as the service and care I received was fitting of buying one of his more expensive vehicles. Thank you Richard.

I had been looking for a Triumph TR3 and spotted one with a nice history at RJH cars. Initial contact via e-mail was impressive, a response from Richard straight away even though it was late evening. Admit I am a petrol head and have worked in the automotive industry but I always fret and struggle when buying a car, its difficult to find a decent vehicle at a reasonable price, but when I saw the Audi online it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for so... Arranged to visit and test drive and Richard was welcoming and happy to accommodate a long and relaxed test drive, his no pressure approach is just what I like and he knew the history of this vehicle personally, exactly what you want when buying second hand. Some pleasant haggling later, arranged to pick-up the next week and Richard met me at the station. Love the car, it's everything it should be with no gotchas, Richard even texted me to check all was okay a week later... I am sure that I will use RJH again in the future when ready for a change. Recommend RJH to anyone looking for a good clean premium marque used vehicle, after my experience I feel Richard has the experience and expertise to source good sound cars and operates at a reasonable margin.
