With us now here at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this quite exceptional 1949 Triumph Roadster 2000, registration NPD 777, beautifully presented in the striking combination of Dark Grey, offset by a rich Blood Red leather interior. While the car’s condition alone makes this a particularly impressive example, it is the remarkable and unusually well-documented story behind it that really sets this car apart. The story begins in 2010 when the Triumph was discovered after reportedly standing untouched for some 36 years. Photographs retained within its history file show the car as it was found and leave little doubt as to the scale of the project ahead. In November 2010 the car was acquired, together with associated spares, by experienced Triumph Roadster owner and restorer David Riley. What followed was an extensive ground-up rebuild, with much of the work undertaken by David himself at his workshop in Herefordshire. With us at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this very elegant 1961 MGA 1600 Coupe, beautifully finished in Orient Red with a contrasting Black Leather interior featuring Red piping. Sitting on chrome wire wheels and benefiting from a desirable 5-speed gearbox conversion, this is a particularly attractive example of the less commonly seen fixed-head Coupe and one that has been subtly improved with regular use in mind. The car came to us from long-term previous ownership and was one of two MGAs owned by the previous keeper, with the more commonly seen Roadster remaining with him. The Coupe has clearly been well cared for and maintained and has been the subject of an older but extensive restoration that has aged nicely and today presents as a smart, honest and very usable classic. One of the most worthwhile improvements has to be the 5-speed gearbox conversion. While retaining the original character of the MGA, the additional gear makes a noticeable difference on today's roads, particularly at cruising speeds, and makes longer journeys considerably more relaxed. With us now at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this special 1991 (J) Mini Cooper S Replica, finished in Tartan Red with a contrasting Black roof and the result of an extensive four-year restoration and fast-road development programme. Far more than a Mini simply given the Cooper S appearance, the build encompassed the body, engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension and interior and was featured across six pages in MiniWorld magazine. Originally leaving the factory as a Mini Neon, the car was transformed to combine the subtle yet unmistakable appearance of the earlier sporting models with greater performance and capability than its original specification. The MiniWorld feature provides a valuable contemporary record of the transformation. In the MiniWorld interview, the then owner records that the car was stripped down and, when corrosion was discovered, the decision was made to undertake the bodywork properly. Outer front wings and scuttle were removed and replaced together with the door skins before the shell was professionally prepared and refinished in Tartan Red with the contrasting Black roof.
