Just arrived back in stock with us here at RFH Classics is this elegant 1998 Jaguar XK8 4.0 Convertible Auto finished in beautiful Antigua Blue and complemented by a Full Cream Leather interior. This is a car we had the pleasure of supplying to its previous owner three years ago with it now returning to us due to his relocation to Spain. Presented in what must be one of the most attractive colour combinations produced, this XK8 looks superb with its contrasting Blue Mohair Roof, whether raised or folded neatly away. Specification includes the upgrade leather interior, electric front seats with memory driver’s, electric folding roof, 18” alloy wheels, cruise control, climate air con, traction control and with the added benefit of a private number plate that remains with the car.

This particular example has had just four former keepers, all of whom have clearly maintained and cherished it throughout its life. Now showing a little over 106,000 miles, the car is accompanied by a comprehensive service history including 16 service stamps from both main dealer and specialist as well as a file of previous MOT certificates supporting the mileage. Under the sleek long bonnet sits Jaguar’s naturally aspirated 4.0-litre Alloy V8 engine that produces some 290 bhp which eagerly fires into life and settles to produce a lovely exhaust tone only found with a V8. The power is delivered to the road via the 5 speed automatic gearbox.

As part of our preparation, we have had the Cream leather seats cleaned, refurbished and dressed so the interior is in excellent condition. In addition the car has just had four new matching tyres to address the advisory from the last MOT. In the history file there is a invoice showing the car having the welding required and soon after the Mohair roof was renewed helping to ensure both its longevity and presentation are first class. Prior to delivery, the car will receive a fresh MOT and service by our local Bosch Specialist will benefit from 3 months warranty. The XK8 was originally launched in 1996, and designed as a modern grand tourer to replace the long running XJS. It combined classical Jaguar styling cues with new age engineering. Over its initial production run, more than 90,000 XK8 and XKR convertibles and coupés were produced making it one of Jaguar’s most successful modern GT cars.
