Just arrived with us here at RFH Classics, we are delighted to offer this beautifully presented 1967 (E) MGB Roadster 1.8 finished in the ever popular shade of Tartan Red and complemented by a contrasting Black Leather interior. Adding further character is the rarely seen Red Vinyl hood which, together with the Chrome Wire Wheels and beautifully presented brightwork, perfectly complements the coachwork and gives this early chrome bumper MGB a particularly distinctive and unmistakably period appearance.

Benefiting from an extensive restoration during the mid to late 1990s, this MGB has stood the test of time exceptionally well and continues to present to a very pleasing standard today. The paintwork retains an excellent depth of shine, the body displays good panel fit and the overall presentation reflects a car that has clearly been cherished long after the restoration was completed. Rather than appearing freshly restored, it has matured gracefully, providing reassurance that the quality of the work has endured over the years.

The interior is equally impressive, with the Black Leather seating remaining in excellent condition alongside well preserved carpets and matching interior trim. Protecting the cabin is the desirable early scissor-frame hood mechanism, fitted with the Red Vinyl hood which not only complements the exterior perfectly but also adds an extra touch of individuality compared with the more commonly seen Black hood. Under the bonnet the engine bay is equally well presented, reinforcing the quality of the restoration and the care the car has continued to receive in the years since. Housing the well proven 1798cc lead free four cylinder petrol engine, this is paired to a four speed manual gearbox that has the desirable and fully operational Overdrive unit fitted. The engine starts readily from cold, quickly settles to a smooth idle and maintains excellent oil pressure both cold and at normal operating temperature, exactly as you would hope from a well-maintained example.

Presented alongside the car is a bespoke RFH Classics history folder containing an extensive collection of documentation, including MOT certificates dating back to 1993 together with a substantial collection of invoices and receipts dating from 1991 onwards. The history provides an excellent record of the car's long-term maintenance and careful ownership. Interestingly, the MOT history also shows that this MGB has covered fewer than 2,000 miles since 2014, suggesting it has been enjoyed sparingly in recent years whilst continuing to receive the care and attention expected of a cherished classic. Finished in one of the MGB's most enduring and desirable colour combinations, this Roadster offers both visual appeal and genuine usability. Having clearly benefited from careful ownership, sympathetic restoration and remarkably little use over the past decade, it represents exactly the sort of MGB that enthusiasts spend time searching for.
