With us at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this charming 1955 Austin A30 2 Door Saloon finished in the wonderfully period combination of Tweed Grey with contrasting Deep Red seats and matching interior trim, a colour scheme that suits the car exceptionally well and perfectly captures the spirit of 1950’s British motoring.

This particular example is a lovely older restoration that has clearly been maintained with great care over the years and today presents as a very honest, usable and characterful classic. The paintwork retains a great shine while the brightwork, interior trim and overall presentation all come together to create a car that feels remarkably authentic and in keeping with its era. The low recorded mileage of 28,480 is believed to be correct according to the accompanying history and paperwork supplied with the vehicle and, upon closer inspection, the condition of the interior trim would certainly support this belief.

Under the bonnet sits the wonderfully characterful 848cc four cylinder engine which benefits from running lead free and is paired to a 4 speed manual gearbox. Starting procedure is exactly as a classic of this age should be, with minimal choke required before the pull starter switch is engaged, instantly bringing the little Austin to life before it quickly settles into an impressively smooth idle. Out on the road the car feels light, eager and full of charm, exactly the sort of classic motoring experience that has made these early Austin saloons so loved amongst enthusiasts today.

The car qualifies for historic road tax and benefits from being ULEZ exempt. Although vehicles of this age are MOT exempt, as part of our preparation process the car will be supplied with a fresh MOT test providing additional peace of mind for the next owner. As a classic it is eligible for low-cost classic car insurance and is supplied with 3 months major mechanical warranty. All of our vehicles are sold clear of finance or insurance damage with a certificate provided at handover. We recommend using premium unleaded fuel (E5) in all of our classic vehicles.
