Part Exchange for ROLLS-ROYCE WRAITH

Selling Your Classic Car or Motorbike

Selling a classic vehicle can be very different from selling a modern car. Condition, originality, provenance, specification and history can all have a significant bearing on value, and sometimes the most important details are not immediately obvious.

At RFH Classics we are always interested in hearing from owners considering selling a classic car or motorbike. With more than 35 years' experience in the motor trade, we can offer a straightforward appraisal and discuss the most appropriate way of selling your vehicle.

Sell directly to RFH Classics

If your vehicle is suitable for our stock, we may be able to purchase it directly from you.

This is generally the simplest option. Once a price is agreed, we arrange the necessary paperwork and, where required, can organise collection of the vehicle. There are no advertising costs, no waiting for a buyer and no need to deal with multiple enquiries or viewings.

Sale on behalf

For some vehicles, selling through RFH Classics on a sale-or-return basis may provide a better alternative to an outright purchase.

Your vehicle is professionally advertised and presented alongside our own stock, including detailed photography, a comprehensive description and video where appropriate. We handle enquiries, viewings, negotiations and the eventual sale on your behalf.

The agreed return to you and our charges are established before the vehicle is offered for sale, so both parties understand the arrangement from the outset.

Every car deserves to be properly understood

We are particularly interested in vehicles with interesting provenance, long-term ownership, exceptional originality or a well-documented history, but these are not prerequisites.

Sometimes a car that initially appears quite ordinary becomes considerably more interesting once its history file is opened. If you have old photographs, invoices, correspondence, original books or other documentation relating to the vehicle, please do not discard them — they can form an important part of its story.

Not sure what your vehicle is worth?

You do not need to arrive with a price in mind. Send us some basic information about the vehicle and we'll be happy to have an initial discussion.

The more information you can provide, the better we can assess your vehicle. Please give us as full and honest a description as possible, including its current condition, any known faults, recent work carried out, ownership and history.

We also ask that you include a good selection of recent, up-to-date photographs showing the vehicle as it is today, including the exterior, interior, engine bay and, where possible, any areas that may require attention.

An accurate description of faults or areas requiring work does not necessarily make a vehicle less interesting to us. It simply allows us to make a more informed and realistic initial valuation and helps avoid unnecessary journeys or surprises for either party.

If you're unsure whether something is relevant, include it — we'd rather have too much information than too little.

Whether the vehicle has been in your ownership for six months or has belonged to your family for several decades, there is no obligation and no pressure to proceed.
