A touch of royalty is on its way to RFH Classics with the arrival of our beautifully restored 1966 (D) Vanden Plas Princess 4-Litre R finished in the elegant shade of Mid Green with sumptuous Cream Leather and rich Walnut trim. This exceptional example has had just three registered owners from new, the first of whom records indicate cherished the car for an incredible 58 years before it passed to its second keeper, who oversaw an extensive restoration. Since the car has been with us as part of the cars preparation for sale we have had the gearbox stripped and rebuilt and had the seats professional prepared.
This car is powered by the Rolls-Royce designed 3.9-litre straight six engine that was designed and built specifically for this model at the request of BMC. The Princess 4-Litre R offered effortless performance, whisper-quiet refinement and true coach built quality and ran in the production of the car until it ceased in 1968. We understand that Rolls Royce never supplied engines to another outside marque after this making this quiet a unique car that remains as dignified today as it was in the 1960s.
Further details and photography will be available very soon.
