With us here at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this charming 1966 (D) Singer Vogue MK IV 4 door saloon. Finished in the elegant period correct Holly Green with contrasting Green Vinyl interior, this car is a wonderful classic from the Rootes Group. The car has an interesting start to its life with the initial owner, Mrs Dorothy Skerritt of Stoke going on to own the car for an incredible 48 years before being sold to the 2nd owner who immediately put it into dry storage from 2014 until 2020. The recorded mileage of just 63,683 miles is strongly supported by its long-term single ownership and the many years it spent in storage.

The Vogue MK IV was only built for a short period between 1965 and 1966 and was the final and most developed version of the Singer Vogue models featuring the more powerful 1725cc engine and distinctive quad-headlamp styling that set it apart from its Hillman siblings.

After emerging from storage, the car benefitted from an extensive mechanical recommissioning with Martin Howey Classics with them completing a significant program of refurbishment in 2023 including an engine rebuild, new clutch, replacement front brake pads, calliper pistons, brake seals & hoses, new rear shock absorbers and rear brake pipes. Thereafter, under the ownership of its last registered keeper, who part exchanged the car with us, it received a set of five new tyres in February 2024 and in April 2025 he had a custom made stainless steel centre and rear exhaust system fitted. To complete the preparation for sale now we have undertaken a fresh service along with a new MOT valid until 30th June 2026 even though as a historic car it is now MOT exempt but we feel this provides additional peace of mind about the cars condition for a new owner.

To accompany the car on its next chapter we have compiled the accompanying paperwork into one of our RFH Classics presentation folders which now contains details of the owners, service work details as well as the original Singer Vogue owner's handbook, a lovely touch passed on by its first owner. Increasingly scarce on the roads today, the Singer Vogue MK IV combines traditional British style with renowned Rootes Group engineering in a way few other models can match. This carefully recommissioned example, complete with its remarkable ownership history and sympathetic refurbishment, is now ready to be enjoyed by a new custodian.
