Here at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer what must be one of the finest surviving examples of the iconic E30 325i Convertible. This stunning example is a 1988 (E) BMW 325i Convertible Automatic finished in the much sought after Zinnobar Red with the contrasting Black Fabric folding roof and featuring the Factory Black Recaro Leather Sports Interior. The car has just arrived with us from long term local ownership with the previous owner having the car since 2003 where according to them it was sparingly used by his wife to take the children to Bedford school. Under their ownership they then entered the car into long term professional storage before having the car recommissioned earlier this year.

In total this exceptionally low mileage car has had just 3 former owners and covered just 65,183 miles. We collected the car from their home where the car was kept in their dry and heated garage and clearly it was a difficult decision to part with the and only in the end triggered as export to their home abroad would have been uneconomical. When the car was recently return to the road it underwent a careful recommissioning to ensure it was in excellent mechanical order and ready to enjoy. The result is a car that feels wonderfully tight and original, retaining the charm and character of a well-preserved E30 with all the hallmarks of long-term care.

As a late 1980s model, this example benefits from the legendary M20 2.5-litre straight six petrol engine that is paired in this instance with a smooth automatic transmission that suits the relaxed and refined character of the convertible format. The ride is supple, the performance ample and the cabin ambience remains one of BMW’s finest from the era complete with the rarely seen Black Leather and even more rare Recaro Style Front seats, that are in excellent order. The interior does not seem to have aged at all, in 1990 I was luck enough to own a couple of these in the Coupe version and sitting in the drivers seat brings back a lot of good memories of these E30's. Externally, the Zinnobar Red paintwork presents superbly with a deep shine and the bodywork remains free from corrosion or the usual E30 trouble spots.

Traditionally these cars have been well used and displaying considerable mileages so to find this car outs into just one of a handful of low mileage examples available and with the very low ownership, this has to be one of the lowest miles 325i E30 Convertibles left in the UK today especially in arguably the most desirable colour combination and specification. This is your opportunity to secure a properly original and unspoilt example of one of BMW’s true modern classics.

In the office we have an extensive history file that is now complied, in date order, in one of RFH Classics presentation folders. The file comes complete with all the old MOT tests and service receipts for the car confirming the previous owners attention to details when it comes to this car. As part of the final preparation for the new owner we will have the car serviced and MOT tested by our local Bosch Specialists
